From November 2-4, the 7th Singapore FinTech Festival 2022 was successfully held. Organized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore in partnership with the non-profit organization Elevandi, this grand event returned to an in-person format this year. Under the theme of “building resilient business models amid volatility and change,” it attracted more than 60,000 participants, including government officials, regulatory representatives, entrepreneurs, and leaders from the financial services and technology industries from around the world.
The opening address on the first day was delivered by Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Lawrence Wong. Among the more than twenty subsequent speeches, in addition to discussions on the traditional FinTech industry, there was greater coverage of topics such as cryptocurrency development, blockchain, Web 3.0, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Speakers during the event included Ravi Menon, Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore; Sopnendu Mohanty, Chairman of the Board of Elevandi and Chief FinTech Officer of the Monetary Authority of Singapore; and Jean-Fran_ois Quentin, CEO of Constellar.
