As the Hong Kong Australia Business Association's annual business gala and one of the largest awards events in Victoria, this ceremony brought together members of the Australian Trade Commission, leading local business and government figures, media representatives, and other guests, totaling more than 300 people. Melbourne Lord Mayor Sally Capp, Hong Kong Invest Hong Kong Chief Representative for Australia and New Zealand Dr Luca De Leonardis, and Salvation Army National Multicultural Director Samuel Pho attended the dinner and delivered speeches.

This business gala aimed to recognize and honor companies across various industries in Australia that stood out over the past year, commending their contributions to the international trade relationship between Hong Kong and Australia. The awards judging panel was composed of representatives from Australian business and government circles, including Bonnie Shek, Director for Australia and New Zealand at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council; Winnie Chan, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney of the Hong Kong SAR Government; Kevin Louey, Councillor of the City of Melbourne; Scott Keck, Chairman of Charter Keck Cramer, Australia's largest commercial property services and investment firm; and Jonathan Yeung, Head of Asia Business at Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

The independent judging panel scored the candidate companies based on indicators such as professionalism of operations, social contribution, market strategy, and degree of innovation. The panel noted that the "Business Excellence Award" is primarily presented to companies with keen business acumen that forge ahead courageously in the commercial world and achieve outstanding success. This award represents high recognition of KVB Kunlun's outstanding performance in business achievement and financial innovation.
