Kunlun International Global Capital Appoints Multiple Directors to Continuously Drive Business Growth

Kunlun International Global Capital Limited (the 'Company') today announced the appointment of two new directors at its New Zealand and Hong Kong subsidiaries. Over the past few years, the Board has been dedicated to recruiting outstanding talent across various regions to strengthen corporate governance and drive business development.

 

On behalf of the Board, the Company's Executive Director, Ms. Susan Sun, welcomed the new directors of the subsidiaries and stated: 'The directors who have joined in recent years have achieved remarkable success in the industry and have held important roles at numerous institutions. We believe they will bring more diverse perspectives and viewpoints to the Company, enhancing decision-making efficiency and governance standards. With the vision and wealth of experience they bring to the Board, they are set to make significant contributions to the Company's ongoing future development.'

 

The new board members of some subsidiaries and their profiles are as follows:

Byron Hsu—KVB Trading (Hong Kong) Limited, Hong Kong

Mr. Hsu was appointed Executive Director in March 2021. He has served as Senior Business Development Director and Regional General Manager of KVB Trading since 2020. Mr. Hsu has over 20 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, covering areas such as foreign exchange and payment fintech, corporate management consulting, and business intelligence, and has held Asia-Pacific management positions at several multinational consulting firms. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hsu served as North Asia-Pacific Regional Director at InComm, a global payment service provider, where he was responsible for business expansion and decision-making management across the region's four core markets. Mr. Hsu holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) and a Master of Information Technology from the University of Sydney.

 

Martin Philipsen —Landmark Capital Limited, New Zealand

Mr. Philipsen was appointed Independent Non-Executive Director in March 2021. He has served as an advisor to Landmark Capital since 2019, providing valuable insights on corporate governance, compliance standards, and risk control. Mr. Philipsen has over 30 years of extensive experience in the financial industries of New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom, with expertise covering risk management, corporate governance, treasury management, capital markets, and fintech. He is currently a member of the advisory expert panel of the Reserve Bank of NZ, and has held senior executive roles at several banks, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer of the Bank of New Zealand, Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Bankers' Association, and Global Project Director of the National Australia Bank.

 

Stephen Cameron —KVB Canada Inc., Canada

Mr. Cameron was appointed Executive Director in January 2021.燞e has served as Chief Compliance Officer of KVB Canada since April 2018, responsible for developing and maintaining compliance and anti-money laundering programs to ensure the company's operations meet the regulatory requirements of the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC). Mr. Cameron has over 40 years of extensive experience in the financial industry across the US and Canada, having held important roles such as Chief Compliance Officer at various major securities institutions over the years, and holds the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) accreditation from ACAMS.

 

Vivienne Yu —KVB Global Markets PTY Ltd, Australia

Ms. Yu was appointed Executive Director in February 2020. She has served as General Manager for Australia of KVB Global Markets since 2019. Ms. Yu has over 20 years of executive experience in the global banking and financial industry, and over 12 years of cumulative directorship experience across various listed, unlisted, commercial, and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining KVB, Ms. Yu worked at several banking institutions, including as Chief Executive Officer for China at the Commonwealth Bank and Chief Executive Officer for Greater China at Saxo Bank. Ms. Yu holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a Certified Practising Accountant.

 

Stephen Targett —KVB Global Markets PTY Ltd, Australia

Mr. Targett was appointed Non-Executive Director in June 2018. He has served numerous large financial institutions since the 1980s and has held board positions at several international banks, accumulating over 40 years of extensive experience in managing multinational financial businesses. Prior to joining the Group, Mr. Targett held key positions such as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at multinational financial institutions including RACQ, Unicredit, Lloyds TSB, and ANZ, focusing on risk management and delivering long-term value to shareholders.
