Fly me to the moon! A soulful journey with Lisa Ono, the "Queen of Bossa Nova"
Team Member

On 19 May, at the Sydney Opera House in the depths of autumn, Lisa Ono delivered a musical feast to KVB Kunlun International's valued clients and partners across various fields, using her intoxicating voice and a musical language blending Asian sentiment with South American style. The performance also added a brilliant highlight to KVB Kunlun International's global celebration, "Together Towards Twenty Years."

Before the concert began, a long queue had already formed outside the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. Fans of Chinese, Japanese and Western backgrounds from all over Australia could hardly contain their excitement as they eagerly awaited the start of the concert. For this event, KVB Kunlun International specially invited valued clients and partners from across Australia to share in the performance, and thoughtfully prepared a pre-event reception, commemorative photo boards and autographed Lisa Ono posters for guests to enjoy and mingle.

As the concert began, Lisa Ono, dressed in a blue gown, walked slowly to the centre of the stage and smiled at the audience. The musicians then took their seats, and Lisa Ono gave a slight nod to the pianist, and the concert officially began.

With "FLY ME TO THE MOON," the gentle, breezy melody and free-flowing vocals let the audience at the Sydney Opera House feel the enchantment of a late-autumn afternoon.

The languid, alluring French charm of "LA VIE EN ROSE," with its elegant and fresh vocals, was as refreshing as the air after rain, calming the audience's restless hearts and allowing them to quietly savour this tranquil melody.

Before singing "QUE SERA SERA," Lisa Ono explained: "This is a story about a little girl asking her mother, what will the future be?" With that, she softly sang: "Whatever will be, will be" — what will the future hold? I gently tell my child to let it be. This simple tune instantly soothed the world's anxieties.

The 120 minutes flew by, yet the audience was left wanting more, and the applause in the theatre lingered on and on. Amid the cheers of the audience, Lisa Ono returned to the stage and performed two more classic songs, pushing the atmosphere of the concert to its climax. At the concert's end, KVB Kunlun International Managing Director Satoru Yamada presented Lisa Ono with flowers, thanking her for her heartfelt performance and moving melodies.

After the performance, Lisa Ono warmly invited KVB Kunlun International Managing Director Satoru Yamada and his team to take a commemorative photo backstage, and expressed her gratitude for KVB Kunlun International's strong support of the event.

"Tonight, audiences of different skin colours and different languages were all moved by the same music — such an event is wonderful. Thank you so much to KVB Kunlun International for bringing us together to enjoy such a splendid performance." After the event, KVB Kunlun International's clients extended their thanks to Managing Director Mr Satoru Yamada and Head of Wealth Management Mr Kai Deng.
