In the height of Auckland's summer in 2016, we welcomed the annual Chinese celebration: the Auckland Lunar New Year Flower Market Festival. On January 23rd at the ASB Showground, more than two hundred booths featuring New Year goods, artworks, and snack stalls opened to the local public. Representatives of the Chinese community and elites from political and business circles gathered together to celebrate the New Year.

The KVB International booth once again became the highlight of the entire event. Nearly a thousand people gathered at the booth to receive exquisite gifts full of festive spirit and take part in the calligraphy activities, leaving Auckland's Chinese community with an unforgettable weekend.

The KVB International booth was overflowing with enthusiasm, with the winding queue stretching nearly a hundred meters long.

As a key sponsor of the event, KVB International not only carefully participated in the event planning but also prepared a wealth of gifts for guests: auspicious monkey plush toys representing the Chinese zodiac Year of the Monkey, peony-decorated Chinese fans suited to New Zealand's hot midsummer, an interactive traditional brush calligraphy session—tracing and writing New Year couplets, as well as a 2016 art calendar of famous paintings.

Each gift carried a distinct Chinese character and the charm of traditional culture, brimming with heartfelt sentiment. While perfectly conveying the theme of the event, KVB International hoped to do its part in promoting Chinese culture abroad and easing the homesickness of local overseas Chinese. The gift-giving segment was extremely popular, with the queue of people waiting to receive gifts stretching a hundred meters long. This year's calligraphy theme, tracing the character "Spring" (Spring), attracted men and women, young and old, of all skin tones to gather and participate. Through the flow of brush and ink, they experienced the wonder of traditional Chinese calligraphy, while the character "Spring" also symbolized the start of a new year, with good fortune flowing smoothly from the beginning of the year to the end.

The rich and inventive gifts prepared by KVB International were very well received

On the day of the event, the organizers reviewed the remarkable achievements of KVB International, praising it as Oceania's largest Chinese-funded non-bank financial group, which has consistently supported the local Chinese community and promoted traditional Chinese culture. Especially at the 15th anniversary of KVB International's founding, its spirit of serving overseas Chinese will continue to accompany the local Chinese community for many more 15-year periods to come. Here, we wish all overseas Chinese an auspicious Year of the Monkey, and look forward to walking hand in hand with you and continuing to grow in the new year.
