About The Role:
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and dedicated Manager for our Risk and Compliance for Australian business. You will be responsible for providing support for legislation and regulatory provisions relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) to the compliance department and relevant operational areas.
The main job responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Design the compliance framework and implement procedures to ensure conformity with legal, regulatory and local policy requirements and obligations;

  • Revise risk and compliance policies and procedures (e.g. AML, CTF etc) where needed to identify, mitigate and manage compliance risk;

  • Work closely with the stakeholders including regulators, company registry, bankers, business partners, lawyers on business and regulatory requirements;

  • Provide proactive support, assurance and advice in respect of interpreting compliance requirements for new/changed regulation, emerging risks, and new services/products, and to provide training to ensure that the business units are fully informed and compliant;

  • Give coaching to the compliance team and assurance professionals as well as work collaboratively with business units in providing compliance advice on the daily business operations and the development of projects;

  • Other ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in compliance roles in relevant business areas in at least one of the following areas wealth management, fund management and/or international payment services;

  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations pertinent to AML & CTF in Australia;

  • Experience dealing with regulators regarding compliance-related matters;

  • Proven ability in the construction of strong and robust compliance frameworks;

  • Strong leadership skills;

  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication and presentation skills to transform Compliance language/terms to understandable language;

  • Excellent organizing and time management skills, work dynamic and effectively without direct supervision and under pressure;

  • Open-minded and embrace diversity;

  • Intermediate to advanced skill level with MS Office suite;

  • Tertiary degree in relevant disciplines

Compliance Manager (MLRO)

Job Description: 
  • As a MLRO, be responsible for all compliance matters for our Singapore business and ensure the business is operating within the Major Payment Institution license requirements, and to be the main liaison officer with external and internal auditors or regulatory bodies;

  • Draft compliance manuals and processes, as well prepare regular compliance reports to keep senior management updated on changes in regulations and impacts to the business;

  • Performing stringent KYC and thorough due diligence checks on all new customers, and monitor the daily business transactions to minimize the risk exposures;

  • Conduct training on all compliance matters to management and staff.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Accountancy, Banking, Business or Law, or relevant professional qualification in financial services or audit;

  • Comprehensive knowledge of MAS regulations;

  • Fluent spoken and written English and Mandarin;
